Hill Harper is an Ivey League actor/philanthropist. He has stood on the front line for the fight to bridge the gap of the educated/rich and uneducated/impoverished. Mr. Harper has authored books reaching out to our younger generation, 'Letters to my Young Brother' and 'Letters to my Young Sister'. He's now creating dialogue around building positive relationships with black men and women. The book is titled, The Conversation: How Black Men and Women Can Build Loving, Trusting Relationships

The black woman's sex has become as easy as purchasing some Wrigley's gum at the gas station. There was a time when our mother's taught us the importance of valuing our body. It's has nothing to do with societies notion that if a woman gives it up to fast she's a whore. No, no, no...a WOMAN is wired to associate her sex with her heart, her mind, and her soul. Unfortunately, that lesson was not passed down to the adults within the age range of 21-30. We are the off spring of parents strung out on drugs and single parent homes. There were bigger issues our parents were dealing with. Therefore the action of embedding standards, integrity, and self love was not of importance. So what can we do? Where has this gotten us black women? Our men do not respect us because we do not respect yourselves. Take a look at the video below, the woman in the video is explaining the spirituality of sex. Please read the comments post in response to her video. Sad.
